Position Summary
OBGYN MIDWIFE FACULTY IN ORLANDO!
The Orlando Health Medical Group (OHMG) invites you to explore a full-time OBGYN Midwife Faculty Hospitalist opportunity at the nation's premier dedicated women's hospital, Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies! The OHMG Women's Service Line is seeking a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care for diverse members of our central Florida community. The OBGYN Faculty provide high quality care for patients at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies. The OBGYN Faculty Hospitalist team members are also the principal faculty for the Orlando Health OBGYN Residency Teaching Program, which hosts 29+ resident physicians. The program is structured as a hospitalist model with protected academic time. The position provides comprehensive clinical opportunities including labor and delivery, postpartum care, gynecology, and practice-based care, all in partnership with our resident physicians. The OBGYN Hospitalist Faculty group, along with the OBGYN residency team, currently manage over 3,500 deliveries each year.

Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital maintains exceptional clinical infrastructure that includes a strong presence of both employed and private practice OBGYN Hospitalist teams, 24/7 OB Anesthesia providers and anesthetist resources, inhouse Neonatology supporting the 142 bed Neonatal ICU, and a traveler-free RN workforce. Comprehensive care is provided through the expertise of our OBGYN services and our specialty divisions which include Maternal Fetal Medicine, Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, Urogynecology, Gynecologic Oncology, Breast Medical and Surgical Oncology, and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Responsibilities
Highlights/Responsibilities:• Flexible monthly schedule of 13 clinical thirteen-hour night shifts and 1 non-clinical twelve-hour academic shift.• Ability to pick up additional shifts. No on-call!• Serve as an attending midwife to patients and supervise and teach OBGYN residents collaboratively with attending physicians.• Collaborate with MFM physicians and other OBGYN subspecialists to ensure a comprehensive care model for patients.• Work in an acute care environment where you are truly a member of a care team!• Join a team that provides clinical coverage 24/7 - including Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Gynecology, and Obstetrical Triage Department.• Work collaboratively with physicians and advanced practice provider colleagues!
Benefits/Compensation:• Excellent compensation package with base compensation competitive to the local market based on years of experience, plus night shift differential, plus annual performance incentive, plus annual merit increases!• Full portfolio of benefits including health/vision/dental insurance along with malpractice coverage, disability coverage, matching retirement, and more!• Annual CME stipend in addition to 5 days of paid time for CME attendance.• Paid NICA, Florida licensure, Florida DEA, and AMCB board certification in addition to the CME stipend.
Resident Education and Mentorship• Provide educational sessions throughout clinical shifts• Participate in resident educational didactic teaching sessions and rotational evaluations• Serve as a mentor for residents throughout the academic year• Participate in the development of care algorithms, clinical protocols, research, quality improvement projects, or other endeavors that support patient focused, evidenced-based care delivery
Qualifications
Education/Training
o Master's degree (or higher) from a program accredited by the Accreditation Commision for Midwifery Education (ACME).
Licensure/Certification
o Certified as a Certified Nurse-Midwife by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) renewed every five (5) years in compliance with the AMCB recertification methods (Certificate Maintenance Program vs. Reexamination).
o Ability to obtain an active licensure in Florida as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a qualification of Certified Nurse-Midwife renewed every two (2) years in compliance with the Florida Board of Nursing.
o Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification; and NRP certification.
Experience
o Prefer 3-5 years of experience as a practicing Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM); candidates who do not meet this requirement but have a strong midwifery background may be considered.
o Preferred experience with first assisting in surgical procedures; candidates who do not meet this requirement but exhibit a willingness to learn this skill will be considered.
o Candidates must have a passion for teaching and the ability to work and thrive in busy clinical environments.
