Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Director of Critical Care for Full-time!
The Clinical Director of Critical Care has 24/7 operational responsibility & accountability for standards of care and service within specified clinical areas such as the ICU and Forensics Unit. The Clinical Director is responsible for clinical care delivery, for leadership of employees, for fiscal stewardship of the department's/unit(s)' resources, and for the creation of a positive clinical and employee work environment meanwhile making safe patient care top priority.
As the Director of Critical Care, you will:Directs staff and services to ensure the delivery of efficient, quality care. Actively supports the organization's leadership functions and collaborates with other organizational leaders.Develops, plans, and implements strategies for the intensive care areas for providing safe, high-quality care, increasing revenue, enhancing volumes, maximizing the use of resources, and decreasing costs.Effectively manages and develops direct reports. Ensures the effective management and development of all employees in assigned areas of responsibility.Ensures availability of resources and utilizes resources effectively through standardization of equipment, inventory management, and implementation of effective staffing based on patient acuity, census, and regulatory requirements. Appropriately plans staffing and scheduling.Review unit performance in relation to established goals, implementing changes to effect continual improvement in the services provided.Create service standards from knowledge of patient/customer expectations and evidenced based practice.Standardize services, processes, resources, and practices where appropriate to improve efficiency maximizing continuity of patient care while maintaining professional standards within disciplines.Recruits, interviews, and hires staff in accordance with hospital policies to meet departmental needs; Collaborates with Human Resources to promote an effective and efficient hiring process. Build a cohesive team conducive to staff retention.Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree in health-Related Field required or completed within 2 years of assuming positionLicense to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee required3-5 years of experience in management requiredBLS Certification required at the time of hireACLS Certification required at the time of hireAbout Nashville General Hospital
