Base salary starts at

$31.94/hr .

E S S E N T I A L F U N C T I O N S

Provides leadership and direction to hospital services when department leadership is not available.Provides safe and adequate coverage hospital-wide for each nursing unit based on acuity points while maintaining a balanced and qualified staff according to skill mix and patient need.Performs data entry for schedule changes and communicates effectively with each unit to ensure proper nurse to patient ratioManages and directs professional nursing to insure that practice standards are in compliance with State, Federal and other regulatory guidelines. Provides clinical and administrative leadership within the institution and actively participates in direct care as needed to assist staff in clinical situations.Provides leadership and directs intervention in emergency situations, including leading in response to codes and emergencies.Collaborates and communicates effectively with the department leaders on unit specific issues related to staffing and nursing care to ensure optimal outcomes for all involved.Is competent with various medical and surgical equipment and assists in troubleshooting difficulties with equipment failures and/or contacting biomed or information systems.Other duties as assigned.E D U C A T I O N

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.E X P E R I E N C E

At least two (2) years of experience as a RN, in at least a Charge Nurse capacity required.C R E D E N T I A L S

Must have a current, valid RN license from the State of Wyoming and must be in good standing with the Board of Nursing.Must have current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or must obtain within 60 days of hire and maintain credentials throughout employment with IMH.Must certify in a nonviolence crisis intervention course (MANDT) within one year of hire and must maintain the credential throughout employment in House Supervisor role with IMH.Must certify in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within one year of hire and must maintain credential throughout employment in House Supervisor role with IMH.K N O W L E D G E , S K I L L S A N D A B I L I T I E S
