Job Summary: Data Scientist
Role:
The
Data Scientist
will create and improve automated systems and models to support national security strategies. This involves using data science and programming to analyze data, build predictive models, and optimize operational performance.
Responsibilities:
Develop automated systems for data collection and analysisImprove existing automated processesAnalyze system performance and make improvementsCollaborate with stakeholders to understand needsUtilize advanced statistical and machine learning techniquesCreate visualizations to communicate findingsRequirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Geospatial Science, or related fieldExperience building automated solutionsProficiency in geospatial software, programming (Python, SQL), and data analysis toolsKnowledge of statistical methods, machine learning, and data visualization
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in geospatial software applications and visual programming tools such as JEMA, FADE/MIST, ECO/ETAS.Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and experience with version control systems like Git.Familiarity with GIMS, AWS Sagemaker, AWS Cloud, and ESRI ArcGIS.Competency in statistical analysis, including descriptive and Bayesian statistics, Markov-Chain modeling, and machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow.Knowledge of Linear Algebra, R, SAS, and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
Clearance:
TS/SCI required.
