We are once again expanding our programing!

The DuPage County Health Department is on a journey to build the ideal behavioral health crisis system for our community. We are excited to offer this director level opportunity as a key role in the expansion and enhancement of the continuum of Crisis Services available to county residents who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis. This position will have primary responsibility for facilitating the activities and outreach for behavioral health partnerships and strategic initiatives for the new Crisis Recovery Center that is currently being built at the DuPage County Health Department. This full-time position works a 5-day work week, 37.5 hours per week, with need for occasional evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

Provides expertise and leadership with fundraising campaigns, donor relationship development & managementCollaborates in the creation & execution of a strategy for fundraising to support the Crisis Recovery Center and ongoing behavioral health initiativesRepresents DCHD externally in community meetings and public forums, etc.Cultivates relationships with a wide range of community partners, stakeholders, peer organizations, donors, and other fundersIn collaboration with communications team, engages with media outlets to highlight behavioral health services and the Crisis Recovery CenterActively engages with county-wide collaboratives and councils to support alignment of goalsFacilitates discussions to support community engagement on the behavioral health systemProvides public presentations regarding priority areas and initiativesDisplays leadership associated with trends and developments in behavioral health and related nonprofit fields

Requirements

Completion of a Master's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Public Health, Social Work, Psychology or a related field and seven years of progressively responsible experience in public health or behavioral health services which included a leadership role on advisory boards or councils; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
