Inventory Control Clerk 2nd Shift Availability

2nd Shift Mon-Fri 4pm-12:30am

Job Purpose: The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for conducting cycle counts and bin location audits, assisting in researching and reconciling inventory discrepancies and working with the Inventory Supervisor/Manager in any inventory related functions concerned with inventorying materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts, in stockroom, warehouse, or yard.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Performs physical counts of inventory items in order to maintain accurate inventory.* Counts and reconciles randomly chosen or chosen part numbers and/or locations on a daily basis.* Accurately inputs inventory control data to ensure inventory integrity.* Completes necessary documentation thoroughly, accurately, and on-time.* Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.* Use of motorized equipment including: Order Picker, Sit-Down Forklift, Stand-Up Reach Truck* Other tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Additional Responsibilities:

* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.* Ensures compliance to inventory processes and procedures, and contractual obligations.* Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks and pallets.* Utilize computer terminal to properly account for inventory issues, returns, and documentation.

Qualifications:

* Minimum 1-3 months related experience and/or training in Inventory Control.* Minimum 1-3 months related experience and/or training in warehouse environment.* Experience operating a forklift and cherry picker/high lift.* Experience using WMS software a plus (Synapse preferred).* PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Access Database.

Education and/or Experience Required:

* High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.* Ability to read and write emails.* Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks and pallets.* Forklift certification a plus.
