With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.Role description:Arcadis is looking for a full-time Water West Asset Management Lead to join our National Asset Management practice to lead and direct the development of asset management programs across the states of Texas, Arizona, and California. This flexible hybrid role can be based in any Arcadis Resilience Water West office location.The Water West Asset Management Lead will work independently as well as on teams staffed with utility management consultants, IT professionals, planners, engineers, and scientists from various backgrounds, locations, specialties, and experience levels.  Some tasks, such as addressing requests for assistance, require a combination of technical and non-technical skills. In this position you will need a strong intellect, the ability to articulate complex ideas persuasively and a talent for establishing and solidifying relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Role accountabilities:This role will be responsible for leading and directing pursuits and the technical delivery of asset management programs for water, wastewater, stormwater and public works, while working with senior consultants and client staff to perform business process/work method assessments, conduct project research/data collection, perform analyses, and generate reports.Other responsibilities include: Lead the performance of Gap Analyses and the creation of Asset Management Plans and Strategic Asset Management Plans that align with industry standards and current regulatory requirements.Work directly with clients to determine needs and provide solutions to asset management challenges by applying industry leading tools and frameworks (Institute of Asset Management SAM+ Gap Analysis Tool, ISO 55000 Asset Management Framework).Lead teams in the preparation of winning proposals and successful presentations. Create and manage cost estimates and project schedules and be responsible for completing projects within budget and on schedule. Supervise and support the work of others and mentor junior level engineers, asset management consultants and other technical staff.Guide analyses on large utility datasets such as: GIS (Geographic Information System), computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), condition inspection databases, capacity assessment/hydraulic modeling, etc.Demonstrate strong analytical, communication and team management skills.Perform services on-site or off-site to support client staff performing their day-to-day activities such as planning/scheduling, condition assessment, capacity assessment, contractor management, etc.Develop and review technical reports and presentations for projects.Travel as needed for client meetings, project site visits, etc. Required Qualifications15 years of consulting experience with an environmental engineering or management consulting firm or equivalent experience with a municipal utility.B.S. in Engineering, Management Information Systems, or Engineering Management.IAM CertificationExperience implementing asset management programs in the water industry.Key Skills and AttributesExceptional communication skills with experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders.Ability to work effectively in a team with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, excellent at building both internal and client relationships.Preferred QualificationsCertifications in one or more of the following: Professional Engineer (PE), CMRP, RCM, or Certified Liability Lead.Strong client relationships with municipalities, districts, and utilities in the southwestern United States.Why Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
