Overview of the Position Responsibilities
:
Activities include but are not limited to working with Supervisor Field Operations to assist in coordinating between the Engineer’s design and the placement of our network on the field. This person would also coordinate commercial and residential return on investment processes and serviceability.
What You Will Do:
Coordinates the construction, splicing and engineering activities related to required relocation, replacement of outside HFC network, copper telephone, fiber optics, new build projects, repair and maintenance projects, and pole transfers in a timely and efficient manner.
Coordinates of all approved new build projects within the service territory including developer relationships, pre-construction meetings, joint trench placement and timely activation.
Communicates and assist in the direction of contractors engaged in planning and executing work, interpreting specifications, materials and coordinating various types and phases of construction to meet company guidelines.
Participates in execution of approved new build within the region including planning, tracking, workforce management and adherence to company construction standards.
Supports communication and good working relationship with all local utilities, developers and permitting offices.
Assists in preparation of construction proposals and cost analysis for internal and external projects. For example, Commercial Phone return on investment models.
Coordinates construction personnel, inspectors, and suppliers to resolve construction problems and ensure construction standards.
Assists Construction Coordinator inspecting work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules.
Reviews and processes damages to the Bluepeak Network.
Conducts construction activities within federal, state, and local environmental rules and regulations.
Ensures department’s compliance with the Company’s vehicle policy.
All other duties as assigned.

Must possess the ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules and regulations, standard operating procedures, company guidelines, training materials and other documents as required.
Ability to use assigned test equipment including but not limited to a volt OHM meter, and related copper, coax, and fiber testing equipment.
Ability to learn the skills to properly splice Copper, Fiber and Coax.
Ability to accurately maintain records, logs, reports, work orders, etc.
Ability to operate office equipment, scanner, copier, etc.
Ability to handle escalations and time-critical issues.
Demonstrated ability to read street maps, as-built maps and street project plans.
Education/Experience:
Highschool diploma or GED required.
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 3+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Previous copper telephone, fiber and coax network experience preferred.
MS Office Suite: Outlook, Powerpoint, Word, Excel, OneNote.
Ability to work while standing most of the time.
Ability to walk or work over all types of terrain, in all types of weather.
Ability to carry tools and equipment.
Ability to work in tight spaces while bending, twisting, and reaching.
Ability to differentiate between different sizes and colors of wires.
Ability to use drills, hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, shovels, and other hand tools.
Ability to use close vision, peripheral vision and adjust focus.
Ability to move, crawl, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, pull, push, and grasp.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Physically able to work on a computer equipment and test equipment.
Ability to work in environments that may contain dust, dirt, noise, insects, and cleaning solutions.
Ability to work safely near power lines and electrical equipment.
Ability to drive Company vehicles in a safe manner.
Ability to work flexible hours as required, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
Must be able to meet the physical limit requirements of personal protective equipment.
