Soar Autism Center is hiring for an SLP (Speech-Language Pathologist) to enhance our interdisciplinary team
focused on delivering outstanding care to children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). We prioritize early intervention, integrated autism care, and the application of evidence-based methodologies tailored to the unique needs of each child and their family.
Role Summary:
As an SLP at Soar, your responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments to identify speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children with ASDDeveloping and executing detailed treatment plans aimed at improving the communication abilities of children aged 2-6, employing a diverse array of therapeutic techniques and instrumentsCollaborating extensively with our multidisciplinary team, including behavior analysts, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive careActively involving families in the treatment process by providing them with education, resources, and support to foster their child's speech and language developmentRegularly evaluating and documenting the progress of each child, fine-tuning interventions as necessary to maximize effectivenessQualifications
Desire to be a part of an organization working to advance the standard of autism therapyMaster's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited programLicense to practice speech pathology in the state of your chosen center (i.e., Arizona or Colorado)Preference to SLPs with 3+ years of experience, but also open to new SLPs starting their careerPrior experience with AAC or interest in learning from our clinical teamsEmbody a playful spirit and the ability to connect and engage with young childrenWhat You'll Get
