Position Summary MAG Aerospace is seeking a Mid-level Information System Security Officer (ISSO) who will support mission training exercises in Fallon, NV. This is an on site opportunity. As an Information System Security Officer, you will be responsible forensuring the security and integrity of our organization's informationsystems. You will install, configure, and maintain our local area network(LAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physicaland virtual servers. You will perform system monitoring and verify theintegrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources andsystems. Additionally, you will review system and application logs andverify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups.
Information Systems Security Officer (II) We are looking for an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team to support the U.S. Government and Industrial Base. Your role would be to provide Cybersecurity support as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation of information systems operating in a classified environment.

Install, configure, and maintain local area network (LAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual serversPerform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systemsReview system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backupsAnalyze network and server resource consumption and control user accessInstall and upgrade software and maintain software licensesAssist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and softwareRequirements
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge And Skills
Experience in Information Assurance / Cybersecurity, including development, integration, and implementation of cybersecurity and program protection standards for networking, computers, and custom applications .Thorough knowledge of the Department of Defense 8510.01 Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Technology, DoD Instruction 8500.1 Cybersecurity, DoD Directive 8140.01, Cyberspace Workforce Management, NIST 800 Special Publications, Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS), and knowledge of current authorization practices, particularly within the DoD.Experience in creating and maintaining the security configuration baselines for Windows and Linux platforms, networking equipment, cloud technologies, and custom applications.Must p ossess DoD Approved Baseline Certification as Information Assurance Manager Level II (i.e. CISSP, GSLC or CISM)Education And Experience
Bachelors degree in Electrical, Electronic or Computer Engineering; Computer Science or related field. Four (4) additional years of direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for education level.An MS degree in a related field may be substituted for one (1) year of experience. A PhD in a related field may be substituted for an additional two (2) years of experience.Must hold active Security+, CISSP, CISA, or equivalent certifications (DoD 8570 IAM 2 equivalent)A minimum of 10 years of experience as an IA/Security Specialist and OMB Information Security directives/policy complianceMinimum 5 years of direct experience and in-depth working knowledge of FISMA and NIST Information Security Guides.Other Qualifications
Current active TS/SCI DoD Security ClearanceAbility to work within an office/lab environmentSpecial Note The position is contingent upon candidate's ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictional requirements.
