ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Responsible for the day-to-day tactical purchasing activities to support the entire manufacturing facility.Responsible for maintaining and issuing purchase orders to suppliers.Responsible for receiving and updating order acknowledgmentsResponsible to monitor supplier and subcontractor delivery to meet the facilities needs and escalate supplier issues when appropriate.Responsible to expedite with suppliers when appropriateResponsible for managing raw material inventory levels to support production, while minimizing total inventory dollars on hand.Leads weekly raw material inventory reviews with the site leadership and corporateResponsible to provide forecasts to suppliers when appropriateResponsible to maintain the facilities approved supplier list and vendor master that aligns with corporate approved suppliers.Assist with supplier RFQ'sResponsible for the credit app/tax form process of onboarding new suppliers.Assist in reconciling invoicing issues.Responsible to maintain supplier pricing files in the ERP system.Supports corporate mandated supplier changesOther purchasing related tasks as assignedEDUCATION
High school diploma required2-year degree preferredEXPERIENCE

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in purchasing in a manufacturing environmentQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Also must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees and managers, customers, and suppliers.Highly productive with a strong sense of urgency and orientation to details, accuracy, and excellent outcomes. Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to effectively manage time and multiple prioritiesDemonstrated continuous improvement mindset and an advocate for change. Exposure to lean manufacturing principles is a plus.Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to adapt to internal processes and change, delays or unexpected events. Ability to respond to adversity or restrictions of the organization with resilience and tenacityStrong work ethic, including the ability to be self-directed and self-motivated.
