your roles and responsibilities will include:

Assume the responsibility and title of the Radiation Safety Officer for three (3) Radioactive Materials Licenses and support the Radiation Safety Committee.Manage EHS Programs to ensure compliance with current and future legal, regulatory (federal, state, and local), and corporate requirements.Develop and implement compliance strategies, policies, and practices at all levels of the organization.Provide leadership to drive continuous improvement while assuring comprehensive operational compliance.Establish and monitor metrics for assessing EHS effectiveness in the organizationFoster a robust EHS culture internally and externally through cross-functional cooperation, communications, promotions, and training.Continuously analyze regulatory requirements and implement program improvements.Supervise and manage professional and union-represented employees, including but not limited to the interpretation and administration of labor agreements and overtime guidelines, attendance, internal and external training, onboarding, and career development.Ensure the timely completion of required program audits, submittal of all required regulatory reports, submittals, and required information to meet compliance requirements.Coordinate the proper administration of departmental licenses, permits, registrations, and other certificates, including submittal of permit applications for new activities as well as renewals or amendments as necessary.Facilitate the facility training program related to training of employees and contractors on requirements related to radiation protection and various environmental programs.Oversee the receipt, control, shipment, storage, disposal, reporting requirements, and landfill disposal of radioactive and hazardous materials.Oversee site remediation activities including development of plans, contracts, specifications, work instructions, supervision of active work, final status reports, and coordination of decommissioning funding plan support documents.Interface and maintain a positive relationship with external regulatory agency representatives from the PADEP, NRC, and local county and municipal agencies.Ensure proper recordkeeping and document management practices are maintained, including the control of personal information as it relates to the radiation protection program and the long-term maintenance of critical compliance records.Plan and manage departmental budget.

Bachelor's degree in Nuclear or Chemical Engineering or Physical Science (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, etc.) or equivalent experience. Master's Degree preferred.At least 3 years of experience in developing and implementing radiation protection program requirements. Previous RSO experience preferred.At least 3 years of experience in managing programs related to directing radiological work, environmental protection/pollution prevention, environmental reporting, and/or hazardous waste management.We understand that even if you are a seasoned
