We are seeking an experienced
Oracle and PL/SQL Expert Developer to
join our team responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of database management systems,
Oracle architecture
, and
PL/SQL programming
. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing database solutions to support business needs, ensuring high performance and data integrity across our platforms. He or she will also be working with other Oracle/PLSQL developers / DBAs, Angular/Java developers, and Automation engineers in building end-to-end solutions.
Responsibilities
Database Development: Design, develop, and maintain Oracle databases using PL/SQL.
PL/SQL Programming: Write complex queries, stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and scripts.
Performance Tuning: Analyze and optimize queries for maximum performance. Identify bottlenecks and provide solutions for slow-performing queries.
Data Modeling: Work closely with data architects and business analysts to design logical and physical data models to meet project requirements.
Database Security: Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
Code Review: Conduct code reviews to ensure best practices and standards are followed.
System Integration: Work with other developers to integrate Oracle databases with other systems and applications, ensuring smooth data flow.
Qualifications:
Overall Experience: 5+ years of experience working as an Oracle Developer, with a strong focus on PL/SQL.
Proficiency in Oracle Database (11g, 12c, 19c).
Advanced
PL/SQL programming skills
, including the creation of
stored procedures
, functions, packages, and triggers.
Strong knowledge of
SQL query optimization
, database performance tuning, and normalization.
Strong Expertise in
logical and physical data models
, maintenance of DDLs.
Experience with Oracle tools such as
SQL*Plus, SQL Developer, and TOAD
.
Additional Skills
Experience with Cloud: Experience working with Oracle databases in a cloud environment (such as Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS for Oracle, or Azure) is a plus.
Project Management: Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools like Jira is advantageous.
Exposure to agile and iterative software delivery is a plus
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong analytical skills and ability to think critically about data and system interactions.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) certification (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) is preferred.
