The Curriculum Administrative Supervisor assists the Director, and Senior Assistant Director, with the overall duties of the center, including implementation of the curriculum in all classrooms, planning special events, working directly with staff in regards to lesson plans and activities for the children. He or she also assists parents in the afternoon, oversees the afternoon management of the center and secures the center in the evening. In addition, the Curriculum Administrative Supervisor assists the Director, and Senior Assistant Director, in the management and control of the day to day running of the school in accordance with the department of children’s and families regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assumes overall responsibility in the absence of the Director and/or Senior Assistant Director
Monitors and signs children’s accident forms in the absence of the director
Assists the Director in the supervision of the staff and ensures that they are carrying out their duties
Assists in the supervision and training of staff on policies procedures and regulations
Prepares and implements lesson plans
Assists the director in scheduling staff
Assists with monthly staff meetings and training
Attends staff meetings outside work hours
Prepares ages and stages reports on children whose parents have given permission
Always complies with the presentation requirements set by the company
Maintains all training hours required by the state
Communicates effectively with parents and teachers
Assists director in supervision the teachers with implementing appropriate teaching strategies for children
Orders the monthly supply lists
Provides programs throughout the year for parents and children
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working with all ages of children in a preschool setting
Hold a CDA or higher in Early Childhood Education
At least one year management experience
Able to communicate sensitively and effectively with staff and parents
Display evidence of emotional maturity and stability which demonstrates the ability to show good judgment in handling a crisis situation
Must maintain DCF requirements
Must maintain Child abuse and Neglect certification
Must maintain TB Test or note of good health
Possess LMS platform module certificates
Director Credential a plus
