Description
Introduction:
Formally coordinate, oversee and report on Information Technology projects. Projects can include a range of activities including new system creation, new feature development, cross-functional systems enhancement, revenue enhancement, cost saving, or process improvement initiatives. This position will handle cross-departmental communication of project status including timelines, risks, costs and expectations related to projects within the scope of the FABRICUT Information Technology Department. The PM will not only lead projects, but also champion organizational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential job functions:
Project Management: Organize, manage, and deliver multiple, simultaneous, complex cross-departmental projects from inception to completion.Proactively ensure transparency in all project activities including but not limited to:Scope definition and management.Issue identification, tracking and resolution.Maintaining a project timeline with resources and dependencies across the entire enterprise.Facilitate project risk identification and mitigation.Budget and ROI calculation and tracking.Escalation and mitigation of issues impacting project success.Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams and contractors to ensure projects are completed timely, accurately, and efficiently.Lead project status meetings, capture detailed notes and track action items for follow-up.Maintain organized and accurate project documentation.Task Delegation: Outline project tasks and delegate accordingly for optimal outcomes.Budgeting: Conduct cost analysis, prepare and manage project budgets.Produce regular project communications for stakeholders, sponsors and team members.Reporting: Provide weekly progress and financial updates on projects.Vendor Management: Review and approve vendor invoices, manage deliverables, and liaise between vendors, consultants, and internal teams.Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments, report identified risks and recommend mitigation strategies.Organizational Change: Lead organizational change management activities to ensure smooth transitions and adaptability within the team.Participate in Project Steering Committee meetings consisting of Fabricut senior and executive management.Assist with PMO project portfolio managementSupportive job functions: *
Training & Support: Ensure project teams are equipped with the necessary knowledge and tools for successful implementations.Maintain regular dialogue with all functional areas of IT to build effective working relationships and facilitate client information flow.Continuous Improvement: Analyze current processes, suggest improvements, and guide their implementation, ensuring they deliver desired outcomes.Basic Business Analyst duties.Participate in vendor and system selections.Provide advice and counsel to VP of IT and other members of IT as requested.* These tasks do not meet the Americans with Disabilities Act definition of essential job functions and usually equals 5% or less of time spent. However, these tasks still constitute important performance aspects of the job.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Demonstrated competence in:
Project definition, design and documentation.Managing and organizing work and personnel.Determining logical solutions to complicated active project problems.Setting and managing specific project goals and priorities.Familiarity with PMBOK, Lean Six Sigma, Kanban, Waterfall and Agile processes and methodologies.Computing multiple-step mathematical calculations.Team Collaboration: Understand and work effectively with different teams and departments.Leading Change: Implement new processes with patience and precision.Effective Communication: Clearly convey information through various channels. Strong, organized writing, verbal and presentation skills.Relationship Building: Forge positive working relationships across the company and with customers.Use of standard Project Management tools such as Microsoft Project, Asana, or Smartsheet.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint and Teams.Appropriate level of technology skill in approved corporate technology setsWriting ability for different platforms and audiences.Prepare and deliver presentations to all levels of the organization.Maintaining a high level of confidentiality regarding corporate information.Ability to adapt to unfamiliar technology settings while making high-level "issue resolution" project evaluations / recommendations.Ability to design process diagrams and workflows is a plus.Education and experience
Education: Bachelor's degree required preferably in Business, Computer Science or Information Systems. Master's degree preferred.Experience: At least 3+ years in project management, managing projects from inception to completion. Experience in continuous improvement is a plus.Certifications: PMP, Scrum Master, or comparable project management certifications are highly desirable.Or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
Working conditions
The working conditions for this position typically require an individual to work inside the majority of the day. This position includes mainly sedentary work and exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally. This position requires an individual to work independently as well as maintain strong interpersonal working relationships. This position also requires continuous alertness and concentrated mental and visual attention throughout the workday. This position may require up to ten (10) days of travel per year for professional development, training, new business development, product presentations and professional association conferences.
