We are looking for a motivated and experienced Sales Account Manager to join our ChemCare team!
You will be responsible for building a long-term, value-based relationship with accounts; penetrating them for further business and improving the margin they create.
What You'll DoImprove Univar's position within each account using consultative and in-depth selling at all levels within the account.Prospect for new business by conducting sales calls to actively grow the size of the territory.Focus on customer retention and overall customer satisfaction.Provide customer technical support and consultant services to increase our overall value to the customer.Maintain a clear updated view of your sales pipeline.Set pricing and service levels, as well as maintain and coordinate customer quotations or provide vital information to allow local branches to do so.Coordinate with Local Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure proper inventory levels.Demonstrate dedication to safety, both personal and of your colleagues.What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree (Technical Science, Chemistry preferred but not required).A minimum of 7+ years of sales experience with a minimum of 2 years of successful territory management in the waste disposal industry is strongly preferred.Sales experience in
waste management , manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or chemical industry sales is preferred.Understanding of DTSC, EPA and DOT regulations is preferred.Ability to nurture an extensive network of contacts.Demonstrated competitive drive.Strong business savvy, including an understanding of the business relationship between manufacturers, distributors, and end-users of chemicals.Well-honed listening skills and a problem-solving mindset to uncover needs and motivations to overcome objections to closing a sale.Effective negotiation skills that allow Univar to realize appropriate value for products and services.Ability to travel within the assigned territory.

This is a home-based opportunity. Covered territory includes Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. Preference for candidates in the Boston, MA area.
