Working as part of a cross-functional team, you are an internally recognized expert in a critical technical area for the RDQ process development function. You identify, define and solve complex technical and business problems by applying your broad technical and in-depth knowledge. You oversee the delivery of assigned programs, support new programs/platforms linked to business objectives and use your expertise in your technical area when interacting with senior management and global cross-functional teams to help deliver on current and future demands of the business.

How you will contribute

You will plan, lead, and manage complex technically focused projects while using your technical expertise to guide, direct and influence activities lead by you and others. To ensure the right solutions are developed, you will use consumer knowledge and your technical expertise to identify future opportunities and to execute programs with technical rigor. This role will require you to work with cross-functional partners develop and align resource and budget needs for projects. You will be responsible for the technical outcomes of developments related to evaluating new ingredients, formulas, recipes, and processes and understanding the impact on scale up between laboratory and production facilities. You will also be responsible for quantifying the technical risks to make recommendations and influence stakeholders. As a people leader, you will mentor and coach others to grow their technical talent.

What you need to know about this position:

The Technical Innovation Management (TIM) function within Mondelēz Supply Chain (MSC) is a part of a Technical Community to lead product, process and technology support. The TIM will be strongly linked to global and regional Idea to Market (I2M) agenda and deliver measurable results to each Business Unit. The TIM will deliver competitive advantage for the business by providing Technical Leadership (product formulation, packaging, manufacturing standard, specifications) to the plant teams.

They will define prioritization of all assigned Bakery technical initiatives (Innovation, Focus Improvement, Process Capability, and Quality Improvement) with Bakery Leadership Team.

Education / Certifications:

Bachelors Degree Required

Job specific requirements:

Minimum of 8years experience in R&D, Engineering, Process Engineering, Operations and/ or Quality Assurance.

Strong technical background (R&D, Manufacturing, Packaging) with multi-functional experience

Clearly understands the Commercial Business he or she will support.

Has had leadership experience in a big scale project.

Prior work experience in a unionized manufacturing facility is preferred.

Ability to organize, motivate and coach employees on desired outcomes.

Working knowledge in IIM (Early Management) and RCA (root cause analysis).

Understands (Integrated Lean Six Sigma (IL6S) and the keys pillars (especially Autonomous Maintenance (AM), Preventative Maintenance (PM), Education & Training (E&T) and Focused Improvement (FI))
