The Manager position is in a dynamic, fast-paced and growing Consulting Services Department. The ideal candidate will have the desire to contribute immediately to the continued growth of our premier regional Consulting practice. The position will require excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and will require the candidate to supervise multiple projects at any one time.
General Description
This person will be a key team member in our Consulting Services / Business Advisory Services Group. The candidate will be assisting with a wide variety of services, industries, and situations, including:
Business Process Services / ERP / BPILitigation / BankruptcyM&A / Transaction AdvisoryRisk ServicesSOC / Cyber / IT Risk ServicesMajor Responsibilities
Lead and inspire teamsDrive scheduling and exceed client expectationsThrive on client relationship building and helping clients. Interact with clients and help ensure the client has a positive experienceEnable RubinBrown Core Values, especially superior quality and service, and having funStrong internal and external project management of engagements including planning, scheduling of team members, review, reporting and wrap-upLead control and business processes walk-throughs to gain an understanding of the control designLead and review operating effectiveness testing over controls System and Organization Controls (SOC) Reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and/or special consulting / attest engagementsPerform other creative control and technology reviewsFinalize internal and external deliverables for RubinBrown management reviewProvide direct communication with clients and RubinBrown Team MembersSupervise the team assigned to engagementsProvide training or act as a mentor to newer team members and help them build new skillsDemonstrate sound consulting skills including assessing issues, using financial acumen and using sound judgmentContribute to a collaborative work environmentPlan, organize and manage time effectivelyDevelop and demonstrate technical / functional expertisePreferred Experience/Background/Skills
Bachelor’s degree (major or minor) in Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related degreeCPA, CISA, CISSP or CIA designation preferredA minimum of five years of current and / or recent experience in auditing or consulting roles (e.g., Internal Audit, SOC, SOX 404, other Attest/Examinations).Commitment to superior client service and creative problem-solving ability with a consultancy mindsetExcellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects, challenging client requirements and deadlinesPossess strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable interacting with client personnel and C-level managementHighly motivated, self-starter, strong ability to learn, adapt and function as strong team playerExperience with risk assessment and control/audit proceduresExperience using control assessment toolsProficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel required) and Adobe Acrobat DC or equivalentStrict adherence to professional ethicsAbility to successfully contribute to the success of a strategic business unit of the firmHave the ability to effectively use technologyAttention to detailWorking Conditions
Core working hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with minimum of 2 - 3 days per week working in the officeAbility to work extra hours as determined by the workload and client expectationsTravel for this position may be requiredAbility to sit for long periods of timeAbility to move throughout office.Ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 30-50 pounds.Ability to effectively communicate with clients, team members, etc.
