Job Description: Cloud Solutions Architect 3
Location: Remote (Candidates local to Austin, TX only)Duration: December 16, 2024 - August 31, 2025Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (may require weekends, evenings, or holidays as needed)
Our client seeks an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect 3 with expertise in applications/software development to join their team. The ideal candidate will leverage their technical knowledge of cloud services to design and implement scalable, robust systems on the AWS cloud platform.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deploy scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS.Provide architectural guidance and oversight throughout the project lifecycle.Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to develop and implement robust cloud solutions.Select appropriate AWS services based on data, compute, database, or security requirements.Design distributed systems and applications on the AWS Cloud.Identify and gather requirements to define solutions built on cloud infrastructure.Assess existing infrastructure and recommend modifications as necessary.Educate teams on architectural principles and best practices at various technical levels.Ensure solutions and infrastructure align with TIERS' security standards.Lead technical and design discussions to accelerate adoption of new technologies and practices.Utilize knowledge of storage and backup solutions provided by AWS.Manage ITIL ticketing systems such as Remedy and ServiceNow.Oversee risk and compliance management using Archer GRC.Minimum Requirements:
Candidates must meet the following qualifications to be considered:
12 years: Expertise in operating systems such as Red Hat Linux and Windows.10 years: Experience designing and deploying scalable systems on AWS.10 years: Proven ability to provide architectural guidance throughout project lifecycles.10 years: Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to implement cloud solutions.10 years: Selection of AWS services based on project requirements.10 years: Hands-on experience with distributed systems on AWS Cloud.8 years: Defining and building solutions on cloud infrastructure based on requirements.8 years: Assessing infrastructure and recommending modifications as necessary.8 years: Educating teams on architectural principles and best practices.8 years: Ensuring compliance with TIERS' security standards.8 years: Leading discussions on adopting new technologies and practices.8 years: Working knowledge of AWS storage and backup solutions.8 years: Experience with ITIL ticketing systems (Remedy and ServiceNow).8 years: Managing Archer GRC.Preferred Qualifications:
8 years: Comprehensive knowledge of networking concepts (IP addresses, DNS, TCP/IP, etc.).5 years: Familiarity with database software such as Oracle, MSSQL, and Postgres.5 years: Understanding of identity and access management and cybersecurity principles.5 years: Experience with advancements in cloud computing to improve infrastructure.AWS Solutions Architect Certification.
