Sr. Commercial General Liability Claims Specialist

Our client is seeking to add a Senior Commercial General Liability Claims Specialist. This person would be responsible for handling complex litigated and non-litigated claims, including but not limited to, slip and falls, premises liability, auto, bodily injury, and property damage losses throughout the Connecticut region. This includes analyzing and resolving claims, litigation management, and claim disposition.

Handle a caseload of 100 - 120 Commercial General Liability and Auto claims from inception to close.Coverage analysis and letter writing; investigation; evaluation; reserve adequacy and timeliness; diary maintenance; management of defense and coverage counsel.Identifying and evaluating coverage issues, preparing coverage letters and analysis, retaining and managing coverage counsel through trial, and developing and managing strategy for complex coverage litigation.Claim presentations, both written and oral; obtain authority and/or formulate appropriate action plans on difficult claims.Strategize early settlement opportunities.Requirements:

5 - 10+ years of Commercial General Liability claims handling experienceMust hold an active Connecticut Adjuster's LicenseMust reside in the state of ConnecticutExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong litigation management skills and ability to direct defense counselSalary/Benefits:
