As a Delivery Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring technology features and stories are delivered on time, within scope, and to the desired quality to ensure technology solutions meet the needs of the business. You’ll work to ensure the team's success in delivery by ensuring there is a clear vision and roadmap for the desired outcomes. You may be embedded within an engineering team or may support multiple cross-functional teams.

About the Role

Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address and resolve issues to minimize impact on delivery

Understand the solution's business value, such as the conditions under which it is used, audience and the business problem(s) it solves for

Understand the solution's underlying technology, such as capabilities, limitations, and system dependencies

Contributes to the solution vision and roadmap, ensuring that desired outcomes are achieved

Maintain a healthy and prioritized work backlog to support a continuous flow of value

Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business and technical investment decisions into work items

Ensure that acceptance criteria are met prior to deployment

Integrate usability research, data analysis, technical stakeholder ideas and client feedback into requirements

Proactively address risks, scope creep and dependencies for work items

Determine the priority of technical debt, technical investment work and client requests

Understand and anticipate user needs and wants through user research and data evaluation

Enable an intuitive user experience through functional requirements and non-functional requirements

Build and maintain relationships with client stakeholders and technical stakeholders

Act as the voice of the client, speaking to the business value, requirements, and scope of upcoming work

About You

Minimum Qualifications

3 years of experience or equivalent competency analyzing, designing and changing business processes

2 years of experience or equivalent competency managing backlogs and defining requirements

Experience advocating on behalf of systems, using deliberate, accurate and persuasive language

Experience negotiating and constructively handling disagreement to find mutual definitions of success

Experience collecting and using data to make strategic decisions

Experience documenting user interactions, processes or procedures

Experience writing quality work items with testable acceptance criteria and a clear value proposition

Ability to define, manage and measure success

Ability to collect and translate user feedback into requirements for technical teams

Ability to learn the underlying technologies of a solution

Familiarity with current and emerging technologies

Preferred Qualifications

Strong understanding of how large-scale software systems are designed, built, tested, and deployed

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to effectively build strong relationships with stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to identify and address risks and issues proactively.

Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) practices, such as feature mapping

Experience developing work items for software engineering, data engineering or data science teams

Experience with financial institutions, the mortgage industry or the fintech industry
