Job Title : Data Scientist II
Location : Social Circle, GA About the role:
How you will contribute:
Supports the local execution and implementation of GMS Data Science strategy and initiatives. Manages the Continued Process Verification (CPV) program, including collection and analysis of data, generating plans and monthly reports. Analyzes process and product data in support of preparing annual reviews for regulatory authorities. Uses statistical tools to monitor process data and identify process improvements (e.g. descriptive statistics and visualization, statistical process control, multi-variate data analysis). Leads monitoring of KPIs and dashboard creations as needed. Supports in managing and executing respective reporting in collaboration with global GMS data science (e.g. automated daily/monthly/annual). Supports and participates in global/functional/local GMS data science community. Drives necessary local trainings for digital topics and tools. Complexity and Problem Solving
Capabilities to translate business needs into data analytics concepts and identify the correct tools for the problem statement. Hands-on, motivated, and able to implement and execute initiatives. Translate data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning trends and technologies into execution. Internal and External Contacts
Partnership with local functions including Manufacturing Science, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance. Ability to interface with local and global stakeholders. What you bring to Takeda:
Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, engineering, or equivalent. 2+ years work experience in a data analysis related position or equivalent academic experience/course record. Hands-on experience in applying and executing statistical analysis of data, Machine Learning, or Artificial Intelligence/Deep Learning, some programming experience. Fluent in English.
Key Skills, Abilities, and Competencies
Strong expertise and experience in Machine Learning, Big Data and Digital, Artificial Intelligence/Deep Learning. Respective programming knowledge in Python/R/C is required. Further programming experience is advantageous. Proficiency in database languages (SQL), understanding of data models and databases. Compositional data analysis and analyzing time series data. Ability to facilitate team discussions and align on actions. Important Considerations

May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and other clean room garments daily. This may include safety shoes, safety glasses, aprons, face shields, lab coats, full body gowns, hair nets and gloves and hearing protection. Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment. Work in a cold, wet environment. Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary. Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection. More about us:

U.S. Base Salary Range: 67,900.00 - 106,700.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S.based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
