As our new TAX Specialist, youwill be responsible for accurate and timely tax filings in adherence to all regulatory standards. This role involves assisting management in implementing robust processes to ensure precise financial data for various tax requirements such as sales tax reporting, international, federal, state, and local tax planning, and compliance matters. Primary responsibilities will include:

Compliance:

Prepare and review all corporate tax planning and compliance matters, including international, federal, state and local

Ensure accurate and timely returns (corporate foreign, federal, and state corporate income tax returns are accurately prepared/reviewed

Prepare and remit all federal and foreign income tax payments, including extensions and estimates

Ensure documentation, implementation, and accounting for all income tax processes are in accordance with JSOX controls, ensuring all controls are being followed and documented

Participate in special projects related to income tax issues

Provision calculations

Support all aspects of the income tax accounting and controls process

Perform all ASC 740 analysis including provision to return, interim, year-end calculations, and stand-alone provisions

Ensure law changes are timely incorporated into the tax provision model to reflect to appropriate tax provision calculation

Tax technical support

Support and/or coordinate all federal and state tax audits

Research and document relevant tax laws regarding positions taken on tax returns

Support other areas in the company requiring tax guidance (i.e. personal property, real estate, unclaimed property, payroll, 1099 reporting etc.)

Recommending tax strategies that align with business goals

Forecasting and Planning

Support minimizing corporate cash requirements through optimal management of tax payment forecasting

Prepare periodic forecasts of taxable income, tax expense, and cash taxes payable

Assist with all tax planning, including working with third parties to design, execute, and measure tax planning strategies

Assist with all acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, restructuring, etc.

Developing relationships across other functions of the organization Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:

High School Diploma or GED Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or applicable field of study required

5+ years corporate income tax experience, ideally a combination of public accounting and large publicly trade multinational/multistate corporate experience

Must have experience filing GILTI, FDII, Foreign information reporting (Forms 5471, 8865, 8858), FTC, and CbCR

Understanding and experience with FAS 109/ASC 740; domestic and international issues

Knowledgeable in generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

Understanding of foreign exchange and currency exchange rates

Proven ability utilizing analytical thinking (i.e. analyzing data, data research, problem resolution, etc.)

Knowledge of public accounting, the U.S. tax systems, and tax compliance law

Proven ability to learn and work with numerous financial and operating systems, databases, and report writers
