PC Installation and Telecom Team Lead

The PC Installation/Phone Lead supervises a cross-functional team of 19 contractor and sub-contractor PC/LAN Management Analysts, Network Engineers, Telecommunications Engineers, and Telephone Specialists in support of U.S. Army INSCOM at Fort Belvoir, VA.
Responsibilities
Responsible for a large, cross-functional, multi-company, contractor team; supervises, trains, and mentors all contractor/sub-contractor personnel
Leads and directs the work of a PC Installation Team of 14 contractors consisting of PC/LAN Analysts and Network Engineers
Assists with leading, oversight, and administrative management to Phone Team of four contractors consisting of Telecommunications Engineers and Telephone Specialists
Develops, refines, and enforces use of standardized reporting templates, policies, processes, and procedures
Plays a key role in personnel actions and decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions of employees
Serves as central point of contact for government lead on all items related to desktop computer, phone, and desktop peripherals related to IT asset life cycle management and new workstation installation
Conducts IT workstation site surveys, planning, design, and quality checks supporting IT asset life cycle management efforts and new workstation installations; and makes recommendations on hardware, cabling, and equipment requirements
Plans, builds, and installs workstation equipment, software and cabling. Installs, connects, configures and maintains all types of standard IT equipment and peripherals (printers, phones, KVMs, Etc.)
Provides installation management to include creating list of materials, bills of materials, estimating installation project timelines, determining installation team requirements, successfully executing installation projects, and documenting project status
Provides user workstation installations within a variety of locations that includes, but is not limited to labs, operations centers, executive suites and standard user workspaces
Ensures all responsibilities and administrative tasks as directed by contract program management team are completed as required, such as: enforcing employee code of conduct and dress code and appearance; employee timekeeping; ad hoc, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting requirements; company and customer annual training compliance requirements
Qualifications
Holds an active Top-Secret Clearance with current Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access or SCI eligibility
An associate’s degree in a related field with a minimum of six years of relevant experience; or bachelor’s degree with at least four years of related experience; or master’s degree with at least two years of related experience
Two to four years of supervising a team/section of ten or more personnel
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and related applications
Desired Qualifications:
CompTIA Security+ certification
MCSA Windows 10 or Server 2016 certification
ITIL v3 (or greater) certification
Experience interacting with Army government civilians and senior military personnel
Exceptional skills in project management and task organization, including time and resource management
