Responsibilities
Support of all technical files, compiles specifications, test plans/data/reports, technical drawings and schematics, bills of materials, and other technical documentationKnowledge of the safety and EMC requirements and test methods for scientific and industrial equipment in North America (UL, CSA) and Europe (CE, IEC, EN)Support design verification testing and safety agency testing including Software, Hardware, and Electromagnetic CompatibilityParticipate in Risk Assessment activities including the development of Hazard Analysis and FMEA's for safety and compliance related risks and mitigationsParticipate in early stages of new product development and changes to existing devicesResponsible for development and implementation of strategies to secure and maintain national and international safety and EMC certifications (UL, cUL, CE in accordance with Machinery, Low Voltage and EMC Directives) for new and existing productsSpecify or provides assistance in the selection of new and alternate componentsSpecify system test apparatus and equipment for pre-compliance evaluationsParticipate in assessing reliability of components, equipment, and processesAS degree in Electrical Engineering, or related fieldExperience in compliance engineering, obtaining various safety certifications such as UL, TUV, CE is preferredExperience with Microsoft Office tools
