Our client in the light industrial sector is seeking a Shred Technician 1 to join their team. As a Shred Technician 1, you will be part of the team supporting the shredding and granulating of various materials. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, be safety-conscious, and have the ability to work independently.
Job Title: Shred Technician 1, Class B Drivers License is a Must
Location: Newark, CA
Pay Range: $29.00 Hourly
What's the Job?
Wheeling/rolling various size bins across the floor to the granulator and/or paper shredder
Pushing and securing bins onto automated electric lift platform
Activating lift mechanism for bin to be emptied into granulator/shredder and removing empty bin
Lifting/carrying boxes of electronic media and placing them into the granulator
Wearing protective footwear meeting ASTM F2413-11 and having a slip-resistant rating designated as "Better or Best"
What's Needed?
Attention to detail and constantly being aware of surroundings
Compliance with all safety requirements while in the facility including wearing high visibility vest, safety glasses, and other safety equipment (all supplied by Iron Mountain)
Ambulatory including the ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel for extended periods of time
Ability to work without assistance in order to grip, lift, push and pull wheeled, plastic bins and manually sort items in bin
Ability to unload boxes from pallets and empty boxes weighing up to 50lbs into the shredder or collection area
