Job Summary:
The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and engineering operations of the hotel, ensuring all systems and equipment are functioning optimally to provide a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff. This role includes supervising engineering staff, managing preventive maintenance programs, and coordinating repairs and renovations.
Key Responsibilities:Supervision and Leadership:
Lead and manage the engineering team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.Foster a collaborative work environment that emphasizes safety and efficiency.
Maintenance Management:
Oversee the preventive maintenance program for all hotel systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.Schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks and repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards, including local building codes and health regulations.Conduct regular safety inspections and maintain documentation.
Budget Management:
Assist in the preparation and management of the engineering budget, controlling costs and identifying areas for efficiency improvements.
Emergency Response:
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues effectively.Develop and implement emergency response plans for engineering-related incidents.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments to support hotel operations and enhance the guest experience.Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs and renovations.
Inventory Management:
Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring necessary materials are available for maintenance tasks.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in facility maintenance, with supervisory experience preferred.Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.Working Conditions:
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.Work is primarily indoors, with exposure to mechanical systems and equipment.Grooming
