Our Opportunity:Chewy is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join our Chewy Private Brands Team. We make boring, interesting and fun as we represent the voice of the Customer. If you love to paint the big picture and enjoy driving high impact change, talk to us!We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can be the voice of the Customer, is data driven/analytical, can develop deep insights, and take the lead to drive continuous improvement of quality for our consumable products within Private Brands. The ideal candidate will be someone who loves pets and has experience with the manufacture of a variety of consumable products that serve the needs of pets and their pet parents.What You'll Do:Complete on-site supplier food safety audit of facilitiesEnsure Commissioning process is successful during launch of new products by facilitating initial production runsDevelop and maintain Product Specifications and testing requirements for consumables productsAssess and evaluate supplier factories' capability and quality assurance processes, request and drive supplier quality improvementsEnsure vendors' cooperation according to Chewy.com's Quality and Compliance policiesManage data analysis and execution of corrective actions for non-conforming issues for internal facilities and suppliersAct as subject matter expert for product quality, safety and regulatory within owned product categoriesMentor QA team members at manufacturing sites to identify and correct production and product issuesRemain current on applicable regulationsOwn development of production methods and provide solutions when manufacturing issues ariseHost training sessions to teach partners about how complex products are made and how they functionAble to analyze data and create actionable next stepsAble to partner and direct cross-functional teams to ensure team successBuilding continuing education for the team to become highly knowledgeable on productsWhat You'll Need:Degree in Food Science, Biology or related science degree5+ years working with manufacturer of consumable products (human or pet food)Prior auditing/co-manufacturing experience preferredMulti-functional team leadership and project management skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Ability to drive process improvementWillingness to seek professional growth and development as the scope of the position increasesDemonstrated integrity, maturity, professionalism, and sensitivityAbility to travel approximately 30%Chewy is committed to equal opportunity.
