The Opportunity

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will lead by example in setting high standards for data ingestion, preparation, modeling, and quality. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and optimizing high-performance data pipelines, enabling the organization to maximize the value of our data.

How you will make a difference day to day:Identify, design, and implement data architecture; automate manual processes where appropriate.Optimize how data gets delivered, and scale our data systems where needed.Collaborate with technical data leadership on your proposed architecture design.Design processes for data observability, usage metrics, and monitoring of the platform.Collaborate with all areas of the business on their data needs and plan cross-team technical projects.Be an innovator, leading adoption of new technologies and technical improvements.Minimum qualifications:

4+ years of strong data engineering design/development experience in building large-scale distributed data platforms/productsAdvanced knowledge of Python, SQLProficiency with dbt and data modeling, especially incremental modelsExperience architecting and implementing data ingestion platforms, interacting with multiple third-party data sources, and assembling them into actionable structuresExperience in technical leadership for data architectures within greenfield effortsExperience with both structured and unstructured datasetsDeep experience with workflow management systems (Airflow, Argo Workflows, etc)Ability to establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholdersPreferred qualifications:

Experience with a MDM related SaaS productFamiliarity with Apache Kafka, or KinesisFamiliarity with applying Data Science algorithms and/or ML opsExperience with a variety of data serialization formats (Avro, Parquet, JSON, Protobuf, etc)
