Certification Details

BLS and ACLS certification required and must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.EPIC experience preferred, but not required; can train on-site.Job Details

Progressive Care RNUtilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift.Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients.Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken and patient responses.Coordinates patient's care through collaboration with the patient/family and healthcare team.Initiates, utilizes, and documents appropriate protocols and standards of care.Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by physician, or standard protocols and documents according to policy.Identifies and meets patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout episode of care.Assumes responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.Completes patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards.Must be a team flexible team player & accustomed to fast paced environment.Job Requirements

75 MILE STRAIGHT LINE RADIUS RULE - NO LOCAL TRAVELERS.Please only submit candidates that area aware of their submission to our facility.Any time off requests must be disclosed with initial submission to be considered for approval; time off requested after the acceptance date will not be approved.At least one 13-week previous travel assignment and two (2) years current experience required in specialty.Schedule Information

13-week contract12-hour Night Shift; start time 1900.Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs.On call, weekends and holidays may be required, per staff rotation.Position will float to other areas as needed, within scope of practice.Unit Specific Information

Travelers are first to float within facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent assigned location.Traveling pairs are not guaranteed same schedules or same shifts.Additional Details

NO HOLIDAY RTO WILL BE APPROVED FOR TRAVELERS (updated 10.10.2024)Travelers must not have been an employee of the Presbyterian Healthcare Services system for 12 months from last day worked, in order to be considered for a travel position.Travelers are first to float within facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent assigned location.State tax is passed through to your agency and will be reflected on your invoice. The state tax should be paid to the state of New Mexico.
