Job Summary:
Performs various routine duties associated with patient encounters; works effectively with other healthcare personnel to provide efficient and effective services; promotes efficient and high quality care and satisfaction; establishes and directs the daily workflow of the Phlebotomy team.

Be available for staff questions as much as possibleTraining new staff and re-training when necessaryAnswering questions via email, WEBEX and phone callsCompetency quiz developmentEpic Beaker Super UserPSCGWork with Karen/MarilenaWork with leads from other divisionsSome scheduling - Pre-analytical teamRounding:
Checking tubes for out of dateChecking supplies for proper stockingCheck refrigerators, temps and foodCheck maintenance logs - Ask about training refreshersIf seen that a lab needs help with patients log on and help. (Be hands on during rounding)Ask is there anything else you need from me.EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
A minimum of 2 years of phlebotomy experience in clinical lab setting. Demonstrated upward progression in Phlebotomy or Clinical Lab setting is required.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
High School diploma or equivalent is required. Graduate of approved Phlebotomy Training program is preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:
Professional and friendly disposition; ability to work under sometimes stressful situations. Excellent customer service, organizational, and motivational skills. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to effectively train employees and students using different teaching/training styles and methods.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:
ASCP certification is preferred.
