Account Manager (underwriting support focus)

IAT Insurance Group Surety Business Unit has an immediate opening for an Account Manager to provideday to day customer service and support to Underwriters, Agents, Principals and Obligee. The role acts as a liaison between the organization and clients, working closely with both entities to meet needs.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of customer service experience, which includes written and verbal communication, being detail-oriented, and maintaining Excel documents and applications across multiple monitors. Surety Bonds Underwriting support or Mortgage or Finance industry experience preferred.

This position works a hybrid schedule from IAT's Office in Heathrow, FL or Alpharetta, GA. The hybrid schedule reflects our values (thinking and acting like an owner, collaboration, and teamwork) as it requires working from the office with colleagues and other disciplines Monday through Wednesday, with the option of working remotely on Thursday and Friday.

Responsibilities:

Account creation for new principals, including file creation, onbasing, ofac, and Pcode management, credit reports and referencing.Process premium and entry of bonds, determining the ratings and class coding.Process renewals, endorsements and cancellation in line with bond forms and contract terms.Maintain account principal and bond files; may request updates from Agents.Audit Agent bond logs and follow up with agents resolving any gaps or problems.Set up Status reports for bonds when applicable and follow up with agents or owners to ensure completion.Generate and distribute monthly reports to Regional Managers and or Underwriters.Research and respond to agents and internal billing team to resolve invoicing discrepancies.Answers and processes internal information requests from a variety of internal functions (Legal, IT, licensing, RM's and other HO departments etc.).Respond to client and company requests for action and information on any bond-related matter. Review and analyze issues in collaboration with Producers, and appropriate Support Department personnel. May be escalated to Ex. AM.Call or email agents about unpaid bonds, Work with RM on over 90 reports and outstanding balances with agents.Assist/advise underwriters of Ratings per state and bond type and rules and provide quotes to Agents (might be a higher-level admin function).Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications:

Must Have:

High School Diploma and at least two years of customer support/service experience.Equivalent education and experience would be five or more years of experience in the insurance industry.Basic Accounting experience/knowledge of basic account principles and functions like accounts receivablesKnowledge of Underwriting support processes and procedures, basic mathematics and problem-solving techniquesStrong keyboarding skillsEffective written and verbal communication skills used for interaction with all levels of associates and/or external sources in a variety of settingsStrong PC skills requiredMust be detail and action orientedAbility to work in fast-paced and deadline-driven production environmentStrong critical thinking skillsStrong organizational skills with ability to set and maintain prioritiesAbility to adapt to changeTo qualify, all applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require, now or in the future, VISA sponsorship for employment purposesPreferred to Have:
