Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/09/2024 Duration: 12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Details Location: Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center Contract Duration: Up to March 15, 2025, with contracts ranging from 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week (No overtime until after 48 hours if opting for 48-hour weeks) Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Floating Requirement: Required to float to other med/surg units as needed Orientation: 36 hours Required Skills and Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience At least 1 year of traveler experience IV start skills Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification Must pass EKG Testing prior to start Preferred Skills and Experience Telemetry experience preferred Patient Diagnoses The unit cares for a diverse population, including: Patients with GI conditions Patients with blood loss and anemia related to the GI tract Patients with infections Some renal patients Surgical patients post-GI surgery Cardiac rhythm monitoring (10 Tele beds available) Unit Details Fast-paced environment with a high turnover rate Target nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6, with potential for 1:7 during staffing challenges Unit Systems: PYXIS/EPIC/SBAR Scrubs: Navy and/or white Talent Healthcare Staffing Inc Job ID 23504536.
