Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Philadelphia, PA

Sound Physicians, Phila, Pennsylvania, United States, 19117

To our prospective teammates,

I'm the Regional Medical Director for our intensivist program at Nazareth Hospital, located in the Lexington Park community of Philadelphia. I've been a part of Sound Critical Care since 2004, when I joined as a staff intensivist. I'm proud of the critical care team we have built at Nazareth Hospital and welcome interest from experienced critical care advanced practice providers (APPs).

I'd like to share more about who we are and what we do - specifically about our people, practice, and purpose - as you consider your options:

People

* Our team at Nazareth is a well-established team of intensivists and critical care APPs.* Our team is comprised of clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds with a shared dedication to the practice of critical care medicine.* Within the hospital, we work closely with our colleagues in other departments to ensure smooth transitions of care. We encourage our team members to be active participants in committees and to become part of the larger hospital team.

Practice

* Nazareth Hospital is a 200-bed community hospital and is part of the larger Trinity Health Network Mid-Atlantic Health System. It has been a staple of the community for more than 80 years.* Our ICU cares for medical and surgical patients with support from a full complement of medical subspecialists.* We currently staff 1 intensivist and 1 critical care APP on weekdays, with an intensivist in-house on the weekends.* Our critical care APPs are competent in ICU procedures and provide care at the highest level and practice autonomously within our program.* Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability, 401k, paid medical malpractice with tail coverage, and annual CME allowance.* Located in northeast Philadelphia, Nazareth Hospital is conveniently positioned to offer team members a variety of community and housing options. Candidates can live in the Lexington Park community or commute from the city or northern suburbs of Philadelphia. Cultural and recreational opportunities abound in the area.

Purpose

* We put patients first. Always.* We value and support growth and development in our critical care medicine practice, allowing you to explore new opportunities locally and within the broader medical group.* We're a community-minded team and support involvement and contributions to community health and wellness in and out of the hospital.
