Travel RN - ICU Float Pool 48's
Shift:
Nights / 7p-7:30a, 12x4, 48hrs per week, Will also consider 36hrs
Length:
8 Weeks
Requirements:CA License2 Years ExperienceBLSACLSNIHVents, IV start, ICP, tele, conscious sedation skills requiredLevel I Trauma, Charge experience, PA LINES preferredCCRN preferredWill accept first time travelers with min 3 years experience
ICU Float Pool: 8SCCT, 7SCCT, 6SCCT/4SCCT, 5SCCT, Transplant float (2 high acuity units are in the float cluster)
Will also float to Overflow PACU and other MS/ Tele/PCU, Stepdown
May screen MICU candidates if strong Cardiac, Neuro, and prefer Trauma experience

36s or 48s approved
*11/25 SD, NO RTO WITHIN FIRST 2 WEEKS OF START.
***THIS IS ICU FLOAT POOL (WILL float down to ms/tele/pcu/overflow units when needed)!
*Will accept first time travelers with min 3 years exp. Large hospital exp required!
Required certs: ACLS, BLS, NIH
ICU Float Pool: 8SCCT, 7SCCT, 6SCCT/4SCCT, 5SCCT, Transplant float (2 high acuity units are in the float cluster).
Will also float to Overflow PACU and other MS/ Tele/PCU, Stepdown.
Summary of Unit Details:
8SCCT (Neuro), 7SCCT (Resp failure, Vent support, hemodynamic instability), 6SCCT/4SCCT (Acute myocardial infarction with complications/ hemodynamic instability), 5SCCT (GU, GI bleeds, Environmental injuries, Shocks, Massive Transfusion), Transplant float (Liver, Kidney, Pancreas, Heart/Lung)
Please note that Cedars is a comprehensive transplant center- would prefer RNs who have exposure to this patient population. See below for additional diagnostic criteria applicable to each ICU Unit. (expand the unit details to find all the different units for ICU Float)
24 beds per Adult ICU
Preferred certs: CCRN
Required skills: Vents, IV start, ICP, tele, conscious sedation
Preferred skills: Level I Trauma, Charge experience, PA LINES
May SCREEN MICU candidates if strong CARDIAC, NEURO, and prefer TRAUMA exp

Intensive care unit travel nurse jobs, otherwise known as critical care unit (CCU) travel nurse jobs, specialize in providing care to the most acutely ill patients in the hospital. An ICU travel nurse might work in ICU burn unit, abdominal transplant acute care, neuro ICU, post-op, surgical ICU (SICU), trauma ICU or cardiovascular ICU (CVICU). Critical care nurses may also care for age-specific patients in the pediatric ICU (PICU) or neonatal ICU (NICU). Aside from clinical care such as skills with ventilators and tracheostomy tubes, travel ICU nurse jobs need a RN who can deliver progress updates and support to patients and/or their family.
