Job Description
The New York Times is looking for a dynamic reporter to cover a topical beat at a news cadence, with feature stories intermixed, applying relevant expertise to generate and, in consultation with editors, to pursue story ideas in the region or field for all media.
You will obtain information through interview, observation or research, and from other reporters, stringers and news services; ascertain the facts relevant to the assignment, evaluate them, present them in clear written or other form and in conformity with style, length or other requirements; revise copy as additional newsworthy material is received; work in parallel assignments where practicable. Discover and cultivate news sources and contacts; follow news trends. Provide material, including but not limited to audio, video, and Web links as required and as practicable.
This is a hybrid position based in New York and requires regular attendance in the office each week per your departmental guidance.

This position is represented by the NewsGuild of NY.The annual base pay salary for this role is between $111,049.64 and $140,000.00.
