Intralox, L.L.C., a division of Laitram, L.L.C., and a global provider of conveyance solutions and services, has a position open for a Plant Wide Resource in the Harahan LA, Plastics facility. This person will work within the Harahan Materials Distribution group safely and efficiently moving product in and out of the factories, executing accurate transactions and assisting in operating the blending room. This person will report the the Material Distribution Group Supervisor.This facility will be a 365/24/7 operation and this position will work 12-hour shifts
(6:45 PM - 7:00 AM)
with rotating weekends.

Responsibilities:
Product Flow OperationsMoving completed pallets of parts utilizing fork-lifts/pallet moversPerform Accurate transactions of product movementIssue parts to jobs needing secondary partsCompleting finished goods transactionsActively maintains lean/5S processes on the floorRestocks MDG with consumablesIssues and receives secondary equipment to and from FactoriesTechnical OperationsOperation of the Blending roomDiagnostics of basic technical issues on blending equipmentIntralox systems knowledge to execute job changesRegrinding scrap parts or recycling them as appropriateTotal Production Maintenance (TPM)Performance of Blending Preventative Maintenance tasksDaily assessment of equipment condition and potential safety issuesReporting and documentation of cell issues through work order requests and shift summariesHousekeepingRequirements:High school graduate or equivalentDemonstrated mechanical aptitudeStable work history in a manufacturing or technical environmentBasic computer skillsAbility to work 12-hour shifts, which include every other weekendAbility to work occasional overtimeAbility to perform essential job requirements as set forth in the WorkSaver Functional Job Description for the plastics technical group:Lift 56 pounds safely,Stand and walk continuously while checking machinery,Obtain safe postures during lifting, lowering, reaching, pushing, pulling and carrying while working in awkward positions,Sufficient flexibility to safely climb onto machines, climb stairs, bend at the waist when picking up inserts and other tools,Ability to use one and two hands to push buttons, use small hand tools (including torque wrenches),Ability to perform frequent endurance tasks expending 5.6-7.5 METS.Must be able to complete and pass a physical examination.Good Communication SkillsDemonstrated problem solving skillsSelf-managed; ability to work well without supervision, team-oriented person possessing a positive attitudeDesired Qualifications:
Previous safety trainingPost high school technical training (Vo-Tech, BA in Industrial Technology, work training program in a technical field, etc.)Intralox Systems knowledge (Shotscope, Oracle, Scanning)
