Shift:
Nights / 7p-7a, 12x3, 36 hrs per week, every other weekend and every other holiday

Requirements:
VA LicenseAt least 1 years experience in cardiac surgeryDysrhythmia required (study guide available)ACLSBLSTNCC preferredPCCN preferredCCRN preferredTCRN preferredNIH preferredRN-BC Registered Nurse - Board Certified preferredEducation Bachelor of Science Nursing preferred6 months RN experience in a Med/Surg, Critical Care, Stepdown, or Emergency Department Unit preferredTraining EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training preferredCritical Care Course preferredOther Details:
No locals accepted (locals are considered to be 50 miles away from the facility)5 bed ICUVasopressors, blood, sedation, paralyticsCVLs, temporary HD caths, Swan catheters, impella, balloon pump, CRRTVentilator, bipapPatient population is underserved with multiple chronic co morbiditiesSupport staff is RT, 2-3 nurses on unitNeed to be very independent and confident with taking fresh post op CABG, AVR/MVR that may require balloon pump or impella

CVICU
Cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) travel nurse jobs provide care to acutely ill patients who are recovery from cardiothoracic (CTICU) conditions or events, such as open heart surgery, AAA repairs and CABC. A CVICU travel nurse must be capable of administering care on a full spectrum, from clinical tasks such as medical history analysis and diagnostic testing, to personal care such as counseling patients and family regarding home-care and wellness. Overall, the CVICU nurse treats some of the most acutely ill patients in the hospital, and must do so safely and compassionately.
