Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - ER 48's
Shift : Nights/ 6p-6:30a, 12x4, 48hrs per week, will accept 36's
Length : 13 weeks
Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to 1) make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR 2) if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract 3) If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract
Requirements:
IN/compact license3 years of Acute Care RN experienceSkillset Requirements: Level 1 Trauma Center, STEMI & Stroke Certified Facility, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Blood Product Administration, Phlebotomy, Starting IVs, Continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, Procedural Sedation Administration, CVA, Traumatic Brain injury, Ortho-Trauma, CPAP/BiPAP, Interpretation of ABGs, Ventilated patients, Isolation Precautions, Triage, and CernerBLSACLSPALSTNCCNIHOther Details:
Local travelers with permanent residence within 50 miles of their assigned facilityStaffing Ratios: 1:4Floating is 100% required of ALL TRAVELERS - Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital/s near byMUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS, WEEKEND REQUIREMENT WILL BE BASED ON UNIT NEEDS. TRAVELERS MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 50% OF THE WEEKENDS IN THEIR CONTRACT.
Teaching facilities and require all travel nurses to agree to the possibility of precepting and/or being assigned students to shadow them while on assignment. Please only submit candidates that are okay with these requirements.
Traveler must have IN/Compact license in hand or have submitted their fingerprint application package for their license to apply for this position.

Skillset Requirements: Minimum 3 Years of Acute Care RN Experience, Level 1 Trauma Center, STEMI & Stroke Certified Facility, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Blood Product Administration, Phlebotomy, Starting IVs, Continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, Procedural Sedation Administration, CVA, Traumatic Brain injury, Ortho-Trauma, CPAP/BiPAP, Interpretation of ABGs, Ventilated patients, Isolation Precautions, Triage, and Cerner

Effective 11/30/24, will not allow IN RN's to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW). The last day for IN RNs to start a NEW contract is 9/9 (allows them to finish a contract by 11/30).
**Periop/OR RN's, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS**

Emergency room travel nurses are on the hospital front-lines, which is why emergency room travel nurse positions require a candidate who is able to handle a stressful and busy environment. They are responsible for examining patients upon their arrival and carrying out triage tasks to assess their condition. Ability to identify injuries, signs and symptoms, and communicate their assessment to the physician are required for the emergency room nurse. A travel ER nurse assists in patient treatment and explaining prescription information to patient/family among other tasks and must know the facility and government policies as it relates to patient treatment, transfer, and discharge. Educating the patient and their family about continued treatment at home is another task carried out by emergency room nurses before discharge.
