No, unit accepts 1st time travelers.Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: YesSkills: MS/tele experience required, telemetry experience preferred, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required, use of rapid response teams required, blood product administration required, central line care/management required, peripheral line care/management required, nasal cannula required, non-invasive airway management required, isolation precautions requiredCerts: BLS and NIH required.
JOB DETAILS:Target Ratios: 1:6-7Shift: 12hr Nights (18:45-07:15) Fri-Mon schedule (may be required to work a week day holiday shift)48 hours can be offered. No OT billed until after 48 hrs.Float Requirement: Floating as needed to similar units.**Overflow unit for winter census**Holiday RTO: Must work 2 of 4 (12/24, 12/25, 12/31, 1/1)
PATIENT DIAGNOSES: General surgery and medical tele cardiac telemetry/medical telemetry. Various diagnosis requiring either medical intervention or surgical procedures, including medical tele patients. Overflow for winter census.SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: General Surgery, Surgical proceduresSPECIAL EQUIPMENT: noneUNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Pyxis, EPIC (preferred)SCHEDULING TYPE: OtherUNIT ORIENTATION: 36 hoursHospital Orientation week one; traveler must be available for classes each day.
