Position Overview:The part time Maintenance Parts Administrator will be responsible for maintaining an inventory of parts at Horseshoe Beverage. Employee is responsible for receiving, inventorying, stocking, and issuing parts and supplies and/or returning assigned or designated parts and services back to vendors. Work is performed with some latitude for independent judgment. Work is supervised by an immediate supervisor and is reviewed periodically to assure conformity with departmental policies and procedures. Act as backup to purchaser upon purchaser's absence, contact vendors, send Purchase Orders to vendors, and work with manager to get invoices paid.Responsibilities:Checks parts catalog for proper part identification; contacts vendors to obtain price bids; prepares parts requisitions; obtains purchase order numbers from Purchasing Department.Receives shipments from vendors, verify vendor packing slips/invoices for accuracy and insuring quantities received are as stated; confers with suppliers regarding late deliveries; maintains appropriate records. Directly issues parts received to open work orders or places parts in proper location within the parts room.Enters receipt and distribution of parts/supplies into computer to update automated inventory records.Issues replacement parts to mechanics; assists mechanics in choice of parts.Assembles and fills orders as requested. Issues parts to open computer work orders as parts are distributed to mechanics.Conducts periodic physical inventory to assure proper availability of required stock; replenishes stock as shipments arrive.Bar codes all inventory parts for tracking usage.Complies with all regulations regarding the handling of hazardous materials. Obtains Material Safety Data Sheets as required from vendors.Must understand and follow all safety rules.Uses a variety of materials and equipment; such as, forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, computers, etc.
Qualifications:Knowledge of industry parts, tools, repair, and equipment.Knowledge of manufacturing stockroom practices and procedures.Knowledge of record keeping.Ability to maintain automated inventory records.Ability to operate office equipment and machines.Associates Degree in a related field is highly preferred, high school diploma or GED required. Related technical training or education is strongly preferred.Food processing or packaging industry experience strongly preferred.Understanding of food safety, workplace safety, and food quality standards is strongly preferred.Previous maintenance technician or maintenance mechanic experience, preferably in a food or similar manufacturing environment.Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and experience using an ERP system.Ability to perform the physical job demands.Self-directed, personally motivated with strong attention to detail.Able to work in a fast-paced environment, while focusing on meeting or exceeding customer expectationsTeam player able to work well with others and contribute to a positive work environment.Excellent attendance and performance track record.Ability to perform all essential functions of the position.
Hours, Location and Pay:We offer a competitive base pay rate. This position is part time and works 22-28 hours per week at our Neenah, WI manufacturing facility.Physical and Mental Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, hear, use hands to type data, use a personal computer and telephone. This employee may occasionally have to operate business machines and lift and/move up to 50 pounds.Specific vision abilities required in this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
