SAA believes that diversity and excellence go hand-in-hand and so hires individuals with a commitment to working effectively with colleagues and alumni from diverse backgrounds.Position Summary :As a member of the Alumni Community, Regional and Volunteer Engagement (ACRVE) department at the Stanford Alumni Association, the successful candidate would work with staff and other university colleagues to support and implement activities, programs, services and communications that reach, serve and engage alumni. Duties to include ongoing customer service and training of alumni volunteers on web tools, responsible for the tracking in support of ACRVE programs and volunteers, and student employees.Job Purpose :Work with alumni volunteers, faculty, students, the Office of Development, and other University colleagues to implement activities, programs, services, and communications that reach, serve, and engage alumni. Implement and staff alumni programs.In this role you will :Provide excellent customer service to alumni and others in response to phone, email inquiries, and requests for information. Includes training on web tools used by over 100 alumni clubs.Assist with coordination of programs, event logistics, and registration with staff, faculty, students, and volunteer leaders.Produce and distribute promotional materials in print and online.Assist with tracking expenses, variance reporting, and submitting and paying all purchase requisitions and invoices on a timely basis.Compile and track data about alumni participation and volunteerism.Provide program and administrative support to alumni relations team.Recruit and oversee student workers and temporary/casual workers to assist with clerical tasks such as data entry, errands, and mailings.Responsible for the collection of club reporting, including systems to track volunteer service, department deadlines as well as sending reminders.Serve as primary contact for data, reports and analysis of various projects.Responsible for the inventory of alumni volunteer gifts and team office supplies.Provide program and administrative support to the ACRVE team as needed.Other duties as assigned.The job duties listed are typical examples of work performed by positions in this job classification and are not designed to contain or be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties, tasks, and responsibilities. Employees may also perform other duties as assigned.To be successful in this role, you will bring :Education & Experience :Bachelor’s Degree and one year of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet expected deadlines and schedules.Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new systems.Detail oriented.In addition, preferred requirements include :Well organized and detailed oriented.Ability to establish priorities, manage shifting priorities, and handle numerous time-sensitive projects with multiple deadlines.Demonstrated creativity, problem solving skills, taking initiative, judgment, and decision-making skills.Ability to accomplish goals working through formal and informal channels, with diplomacy and tactfulness.Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills.Knowledge of Postgrads (internal database) desirable.The expected pay range for this position is $38.46 per hour to $41.35 per hour.Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position.
