About this role:
The Sr. Director, IT Strategy and Operations requires a highly skilled and strategic individual to support the Group Vice President. Key responsibilities will include Executive Support, Project Management, Process Optimization through driven insights, and strategic consulting. Ideal candidates will possess a strong combination of strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in project management and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent the Group Vice President (GVP) in key internal meetings, serving as a strategic and professional voice on their behalf.
Develop and deliver high-impact PowerPoint presentations tailored for executive audiences, effectively summarizing complex ideas and data into clear, actionable insights.
Design visually engaging and concise presentations ensuring key messages are communicated effectively.
Leverage storytelling techniques to create compelling narratives, framing information in a way that resonates with executive stakeholders and facilitates informed decision-making.
Use data visualization best practices to translate complex data into easy-to-understand charts, graphs, and infographics, supporting strategic insights.
Demonstrate superior facilitation skills, effectively guiding discussions, keeping meetings on track, and encouraging active participation to reach consensus and drive outcomes.
Skillfully manage challenging discussions, diplomatically addressing differing viewpoints and keeping focus on shared objectives.
Foster a collaborative environment, ensuring all participants feel heard and engaged, while steering conversations toward productive solutions.
Prepare agendas, structure meeting flow, and summarize key takeaways and action items, providing clarity and alignment for all stakeholders.
Continuously refine presentation content and facilitation approach based on executive feedback, team dynamics, and evolving business priorities. Lead complex projects that align with high-priority business goals, collaborating closely with business leaders across the organization.
Conduct root cause analysis of organizational challenges, developing and implementing effective solutions.
Develop comprehensive business cases and project plans, defining process improvements and necessary organizational capabilities.
Partner with business owners to scope, prioritize, and manage projects within the portfolio.
Collaborate with analytics teams to establish standardized reporting practices that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Lead the standardization, alignment, and governance of business processes to support organizational objectives.
Skills and Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field; Master’s/MBA preferred.
Experience:
10+ years’ experience of management consulting, professional services, PMO, advisory, or transformation programs.
Advanced PowerPoint skills:
Ability to create clear impactful charts, graphs, and infographics.
Strategic Vision and Problem Solving:
Proven track record in solving complex business challenges, synthesizing insights from data, and driving strategic initiatives.
Executive Communication:
Demonstrated expertise in crafting and delivering compelling executive-level presentations; exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Leadership and Influence:
Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across levels without formal authority.
Consultative Approach:
Proven ability to provide consultative leadership, with a focus on understanding client needs and navigating unstructured environments.
Analytical and Business Acumen:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct business analysis and develop actionable insights.
Operational Excellence:
Experience in business planning, defining and maintaining product roadmaps, and successfully executing across matrixed organizations.
Direct strategic projects related to change management, organizational design, operational excellence, operating model refinement, and technology adoption.
Exhibit exceptional stakeholder management and consulting skills, demonstrating the ability to influence and align senior leadership on complex issues.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 134,000 USD - 184,500 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates. We also offer market leading benefit programs including generous PTO, a 401k match up to $7,200 per year, the opportunity to purchase company stock at a discount, and more.
