About the RoleFivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies.
We’re looking for a business-minded Commercial Counsel, with experience drafting and negotiating customer, partner and vendor agreements with leading global and domestic organizations. This legal team member will report directly to the VP & Deputy General Counsel, and will be a key partner and liaison to other impacted Fivetran departments and stakeholders.
This is a full-time position based out of our Denver office, or Remote in the US.

What You’ll Do
Review, revise and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts, including customer, data protection, partner and vendor agreements
Partner with the procurement and finance teams to optimize coordination and processes across the vendor lifecycle, including renewals
Support the marketing team on events, sponsorship and other demand generation agreements
Draft and negotiate partner contracts, including reseller and referral agreements
Provide overflow support for the commercial legal team supporting GTM, negotiating and drafting Fivetran MSA’s and related revenue-bearing agreements
Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices for commercial contract lifecycle management, ensuring efficient review, negotiation, and approval processes
Complete other special projects given your interest areas and the needs of a rapidly scaling company and team
Skills We’re Looking For
3-5 years’ experience negotiating and drafting vendor, partner and sales agreements with domestic and international parties
Experience providing contracts and legal support to finance, marketing and procurement teams
A process-oriented lawyer with a passion for building and optimizing processes and procedures in partnership with legal operations
A proven track record of achieving high-volume, quick turn on execution of agreements constructed to mitigate risk and support revenue growth
A strong communicator with exceptional written and verbal skills, you can clearly articulate complex legal concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
High attention to detail, with demonstrated self-initiative that drives a desire for impact and achievement
JD and admitted to practice in at least one jurisdiction, with eligibility to become a registered in-house counsel in either California or Colorado preferred

CIPP (US or EU) certification is a plus
Pay Range$160,326.92—$192,400 USD
