The ideal candidate for our team is high energy, collaborative, creative, and LOVES solving problems to improve our experiences and workplace every day.General Position SummaryThe Database Marketing Specialist for the Space Needle & Chihuly Garden and Glass will support the Marketing & PR department through data analysis and database marketing to increase awareness and conversion into ticket purchase, events, food & beverage experiences, and campaigns to increase attendance, awareness, and revenue for the two venues.A passion for marketing & ticket sales is key, as is the curiosity to solve business problems through research, surveys, asking questions and finding solutions. On a daily basis, you’ll work with your Marketing & PR department colleagues to deliver more informed and actionable results. Across the company, you’ll work to be a leader in analytics, business metrics, and using data to respond to our Guests and shifting marketing conditions like never before.PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
:Lead creation and distribution of a marketing and ticket sales dashboard to continually examine ticket sales performance, marketing efficiency, guest satisfaction, visitor demographics, and market trends.Own email marketing through an analytics lens: creating the right lists to reach the right guests, and analyze their behaviors and purchase habits to increase engagement.Partner with other members of the marketing and PR team to turn research findings into actionable campaigns, programs, and events, and continually track their impact.Support creation and implementation of ticket pricing for Space Needle & Chihuly Garden and Glass through competitive analysis and collation of available market data.Monitor guest review sites to track trends, gather data, communicate with guests, and connect them with Guest Services as needed.Validate advertising efforts through guest surveys and analysis of advertising engagement data.SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
:Support the Marketing & PR team in implementation of marketing programs.Build familiarity and superuser status with various platforms and tools, including Placer, Revinate, Tableau, or similar.Assist with marketing upkeep as requested (including minor content changes).Represent the Space Needle & Chihuly Garden and Glass as an active participant in the Seattle travel, art, and community networks.Interface with Guests on-site and online, delivering top-notch guest service.Other duties as assigned.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.Experience in marketing/advertising/hospitality/tourism preferred.Technology savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office.Previous experience with any related programs or services is a plus (Placer, Hubspot, Revinate, Tableau).Strong verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Professional, courteous, and polite manner.Able to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends when requested (NYE is required).Self-motivated, creative and team-oriented.Conscientious in quality and guest service.Able to lift and carry 35 pounds.Able to stand for multiple hours at events.Full Time, Hourly PositionHourly Rate: $29.81 - $38.46 / hour DOEBenefits include:Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Long Term Disability.401k plan, we will match 50% of the first 6% you contribute, equivalent to 3% of your wages.Deferred compensation into 401(k) account at company Shareholder discretion.
