This person thrives working in fast-paced environments where creative problem-solving skills and priority focus are critical components to effective operations and successful execution of the role.Job SummaryThe Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the daily business operations of the store including supervising employees, communicating with and helping customers, and carrying out directives given by management. This person drives execution by inspiring and motivating employees to ensure store profitability and efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Store Manager in exceeding determined sales plans and metric objectivesEnsure consistent execution of company’s visual presentation standardsSet up displays and arrange merchandise to promote salesTrain staff on how to drive sales through consistent development, product knowledge, systems, and customer service standardsMaintain proper inventory controls, facilitate inventory counts as guided by managementEnsure store complies and follows safety and security guidelines and protocolsAssist Store Manager with supervising employees according to the Company’s Employee Handbook and following the store’s standard operating proceduresDemonstrate accountability by providing constructive feedback to employeesEnsure all operational store processes are properly executedCommunicate with Store Manager on overall effectiveness of employee and store performance and provide recommendations and solutionsAssist with store events and store salesAct as a backup to the Store ManagerAssist with Monday office hours and any other tasks assigned by store managerAssist with omni-channel sales and fulfillment processSkills, Abilities & RequirementsAbide to available and agreed scheduleAbility to work retail hours including weekends and holidaysStrong leadership and interpersonal skills to work with individuals and teamsHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skillsAbility to maintain a professional appearance and follow store’s dress codeMaintain a positive attitude, high energy, and focus on customer satisfactionAnalytical and math skills to create and analyze reports and sales dataAbility to confidently operate office equipment such as computers and printersPhysical Requirements & Working ConditionsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Ability to kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, climb, walk, and stand for long durations of timeAbility to move and lift equipment and supplies of up to 30 poundsVision abilities include close, distance, color peripheral, and depth perceptionNoise level in the work environment is moderateThis job description is not exhaustive, and you may be required to carry out other duties as requested.
