About the Role:
Four Seasons New Orleans is hiring for our Director of Event Sales and Group Services position. We are seeking a dynamic individual who is a natural leader and one that champions our brand and culture as well as oversees all aspects of a profit and service driven Catering/Conference Services department.
What you will do:
Maintain and monitor the accuracy and effectiveness of all written communication from catering and conference services managers and support staff for our external customers as well as internal team.
Actively prospect and solicit, develop and maintain catering accounts through personal sales calls, trade shows, and on-site entertainment. Supervise the execution of banquet events.
Finalize the requirements of Four Seasons internal events as well as personally booked catering events while maximizing revenue potential through upselling and ensuring effective communication both written (Resumes, BEO, Daily Reports) and personal contact with all departments for the success of the event.
Ensuring accuracy of Banquet Checks and provide bill review on completion of program or event.
Managing challenges and glitches that arise while groups are on property and finding solutions, keeping Director of Marketing and Planning Committee fully informed on all unusual matters so that prompt corrective action can be taken where appropriate.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The qualified candidate will possess a passion for flawless service and the highest level of integrity and work ethic.
Qualifications include:
A minimum of five years’ experience leading a team in a comparable role.
Strong selling and negotiating skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Solid organization skills.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Strong interpersonal and team player skills.
Strong leadership and management skills.
US work authorization is required.
Occasional travel is required for training, conferences and special events. Position is on-site and based in New Orleans.
