WHAT OUR SOFTWARE DEVOPS ENGINEERS ENJOY MOST

Apply Linux administration background to troubleshoot and solve difficult and interesting problems.

Apply advanced scripting knowledge using any combination of Bash, Python, or JAVA

Understand and apply your advanced experience with Infrastructure-as-Code to build and maintain highly available and fault tolerant systems and applications

Understand applicable technology security and industry regulatory and legal compliance considerations.

Utilize your working knowledge of distributed computing systems to design, build, and maintain enterprise solutions.

Respond to on-call queries in collaboration with an offshore team to provide 24/7 support

Contribute to technical requirements and technical design documents.

Collaborate with other team members to identify and solve technical problems.

Develop and maintain technical documentation.

Further your working knowledge of technologies such as Elasticsearch / OpenSearch, NiFi, and ArcGIS

Ensure legal, regulatory, process, and security compliance of the code contributed to their application.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

Experience:

Database Management Systems – 1-3+ years

Coding, testing, and designing software – 1-3+ years

Software Development Methodologies – 1-3+ years

Education:

BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Technical skills:

Demonstrated knowledge of one major programming language/tool

Demonstrated knowledge of coding language and syntax, usage of functions and object-oriented patterns

Knowledge of environments, docker images, container runtimes, and cloud native app development

Knowledge of dependent systems, e.g., up/downstream APIs, clients, data stores, CI/CD Pipelines

Knowledge of design patterns and frameworks

Skills:

Showcases Project / Feature level work to their team and technical leadership

Basic negotiation skills

Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action

Abilities:

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

Ability to work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors

Ability to apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues

Ability to work under general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments

Ability to break down assigned projects into manageable tasks and completes within a given timeframe

Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively without oversight
