Information Technology Project Manager

ResponsibilitiesWe are hiring an
IT Project Manager
to the team! The incumbent, as a member of the Information Technology (IT), Contact Center Services (CCS), Program Management Office (PMO), manages an IT project and is the primary individual responsible for the development, modification, or enhancement of specific IT products, services, or systems, constrained by relationships among scope, resources, and time. The work involves an IRS-wide mission, in which the incumbent defines, develops, and leads major national level projects which may include the implementation of a new system or a major enhancement to an existing system.
This position is a Hybrid/Partial telework. Preferred candidate must be local to the Atlanta Metropolitan area.
What you will do:
Provide expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical IT issues.
Apply new developments and make decisions or recommendations that significantly influence important IT projects/programs.
Identify software requirements; understand designs, integration, testing, deployments, maintenance, configuration management, methodologies and processes, tools, and methods.
Understand data structures, algorithms, prototyping, architecture, program design and implementation, systems analysis and design, system software, and database management.
Provide leadership, teambuilding, decision making, problem solving, and organizing and maintaining information in information management systems.
Compile project data and report on the status of key projects to management.
Consult with management and customers regarding product feasibility and viability of network infrastructure plans and designs, including emerging technology and product supportability into design and implementation.
Provide the team with data analysis for provisioning orders in bulk to multiple network service providers using Excel and MS Access, including some billing reconciliation issues.
Serve as a liaison between network and IT engineers, development team, and customer management.
Provide advanced support for the diagnosis and resolution of complex problems to ensure minimal disruption of mission-critical systems and applications.
Manage large scale IT tech refreshes.
Resolve all issues and action items.
Ensure that projects are completed on time.
Develop advanced technological ideas and guide their development into a final product.
Serve as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs.
Create detailed project plans, schedules, risk logs, issue logs, communication plans, change control processes, schedule and lead meetings, escalate issues, and others.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Strong project/program management skills on an IT or network infrastructure team.
Experience with large infrastructure projects.
Experience with Power BI.
Familiarity with agile and waterfall project methodologies.
Experience with enterprise-wide implementations.
Experience holding people accountable in a matrix organizational environment.
Familiarity with SharePoint.
Experience or understanding of project management principles.
Ability to communicate complex technical requirements to non-technical personnel.
Experience with briefings creation and presentation to senior management officials on complex/controversial issues.
Understanding of IT principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices sufficient to accomplish assignments such as developing and interpreting policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of services throughout the IRS.
Ability to obtain and maintain an IRS MBI Clearance.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder (Must have 3 years of US residency on the Green Card).

Target Salary Range$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
