Calling all college undergraduate and graduate students seeking real-world sports industry experience! We want you here in Asheboro for a hands-on internship that provides you with a tremendous opportunity to experience summer baseball with a first-class organization.
Our interns are the heart and soul of an amazing fan experience for ZooKeeper fans here in Asheboro. While learning the many facets of summer baseball, our interns will positively impact the Asheboro community, our unwavering fanbase, our host families, and partners. As an intern, you will develop and take ownership in projects throughout the season and bring them to life with our team of interns and full-time staff!
Job OverviewThe ZooKeepers are looking for an energetic leader to oversee between inning games and skits and help direct the teams mascot Zeke, for games and community appearances. The entertainment director will meet fans, assist fans taking pictures with Zeke, interact with the crowd, perform skits, and work closely with the ZooKeepers marketing and promotions teams to showcase the team.
Responsibilities
Perform on-field public address announcer duties in-game and between innings promotion activities to fulfill entertainment and marketing agreements with community partners.
Responsible for entertaining guests and being involved in various activities and events throughout the summer.
Ability to be trained and cross-utilized to support other activities as required.
Requirements
Previous experience as an entertainment host, public address announcer or cheerleader is preferred.
Must be available to work odd hours including nights and weekends.
Work well in a team environment.
Ability to interact with the public easily.
Engaging, animated presence.
Passion for working with kids.

To qualify and join this exciting team atmosphere, interns must have at least a 3.0 GPA and submit a letter of recommendation from a current or former professor.
This internship is only available to college-level students, both undergraduate and graduate students, who are looking for a college credit internship. The internship is on-site in Asheboro, NC.
Summer Term: May 19th through August 12th, 2025.
